Red - tailed Hawk hatches on the New York Times Hawk cam - and Luke will soon be others!

At 11: 02 on the 9th April 2012 experienced viewers of the New York Times' Hawk webcam a new red - tailed Hawk hatch. And the action is not there ends! There is a another egg into the nest will also hatch approximately 36 hours after the first egg hatched.

Rosie is care for the nest. It seems that Bobby has left a rat for their food!

The parent Rosie remains good in the nest, while Bobby spends most of his time hunting. Red - tailed hawks are especially pigeons, rats and Squirrals food in urban areas.

The webcam is located on the 12th floor edge New York University Bobst library. It overlooks Washington Square Park.
