The longest running scientific experiment ever now in front of the webcam

Way back in 1927 Professor to show an experiment set up Thomas Parnell of the University of Queensland, as some materials have strange and fascinating properties. The pitch drop demonstrates experiment such as pitch, a derivative of tar, although he apparently actually fixed a liquid at room temperature. It is only a very slow moving liquid! You can now see this experiment on webcam.

While the substance can be divided easily with a hammer, the experiment shows the pitch drops down a funnel into a beaker. It took eight years for the first drops of the pitch to take the Cup. 80 Years later, the ninth drop begins only now to make.

An interesting fact about the experiment is that nobody has actually seen in the 80's, he was executed that you hit the drop Cup. This webcam is sure to change this!

This drop is made every year the beaker!
