The cotter River Dam, currently under construction in Canberra, Australia, is currently crowded. A webcam showing the construction – called the "DamCam" - a flood of visitors since the overflow has received.
A spokesman for the dam mentioned that wet weather Dam had a capacity for an additional 7,000,000,000 liters before overflowing, the equation of 17,500 swimming pools. A period of heavy rain has unfortunately led that it was enough.
Fortunately, the overflow is unlikely that inundate all nearby areas. The most important result is that work must stop on the embankment, costs around $200,000 for each day, the work not done, and webcam fans get a spectacular view of show.
Makes trying me whistling the Dambuster theme song.
Builders of the dam still hope it this year completed, but your budget is under pressure because of the bad weather.
